International Women’s Day (March 8th)
Each year, Club Soroptimiste de Butare actively participates in the International Women’s Day celebrations, with events that highlight the importance of gender equality and women’s empowerment. In 2024, we will continue to support the Huye District’s efforts to build homes for vulnerable women.
Annual Scholarships Distribution Ceremony (Ongoing)
Our scholarship program supports girls from vulnerable families, giving them access to vocational training. The scholarship ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate the educational achievements of these young women and share the success stories of previous beneficiaries.
Celebration of Rural Women (October)
Every year, we honor the hard work and resilience of rural women. In 2023, the Club distributed soap to women in rural areas as part of our hygiene promotion initiative.
Memorable Events
In August 2023, we conducted a training program for the future Soroptimist Club President in Burundi, Madame Isabelle Rusuku, to equip her with the necessary tools to launch a new club in Burundi.
Training and Capacity Building Workshops
Join us for regular capacity-building sessions aimed at empowering women with skills in entrepreneurship, leadership, and self-development. These workshops are designed to equip women with the tools they need to become financially independent and confident leaders.
